My Little Headquarters: Where Tanpopo Comes to Life
Welcome to my home office—a cozy corner of our house where many of Tanpopo’s dreams take shape. I live in Mori Town (Morimachi) in Shizuoka Prefecture, and this is where I teach online, create lesson materials, plan new classes, and connect with other Tanpopo tutors. Sometimes, my cat Momo takes a nap nearby, as you can see in the photo!

Every item on (and under!) my desk has its own purpose, and I plan to share separate posts about them in the future. I’ll include outdoor pictures of our surroundings to give you a glimpse of life in rural Japan.
I feel very blessed to have this spacious home office, which provides quiet moments of clarity while I create something new. Sometimes, the kids pop in with their own books or drawings, and at other times, I pause to listen to the birds chirping or watch the cranes in the rice fields across from our house.
Tanpopo is more than just a business; it reflects my life, my passion for teaching languages, and my belief that learning can be warm, rewarding, and deeply connected. And it all starts right here, in this simple corner of my home.
